About the Group

The Company was promoted by the Narang family and operates a number of restaurants in India. The Group's first restaurant was Jazz by the Bay in downtown Mumbai and since then, it has created several brands including:

The Company prides itself on its innovative dining concepts and is today, one of the most successful restaurant companies in the country. One of the keys to success has been Mars Restaurants' ability to position its brands into niches that cover almost the full spectrum of market segments. Thus, not just Jazz by the Bay offers a Casual Dining and Entertainment experience, Just Around the Corner, Pizzeria & Pasta Bar, Dosa Diner, Roti, China Joe and Veg Food Pavilion offer a Family Dining experience, Polly Esther's a nightclub experience and Birdy's and Cake Khazana, an over-the-counter experience.

With a view to standardizing the product quality at each restaurant within a brand, the Company processes raw materials at its central commissary in North Mumbai. Semi finished and finished products are then transported in refrigerated vans to individual restaurants. This system also helps reduce the ratio of kitchen to service space in the restaurants. As a result, expensive real estate in downtown locations is utilized more efficiently. The Company is currently setting up a state-of-the-art 25,000 square foot food processing and manufacturing facility in North Mumbai.

Mars Restaurants Limited is expanding very rapidly and is in the process of taking its brands national. Navigate India Investments B.V & S.C. Ventures Ltd has invested in the equity of the Company.

About the Sachin Tendulkar Family

Sachin Tendulkar, the enigmatic sports person needs no introduction. Unknown to many, Sachin is a eager and adventurous foodie, which is what prompted him to venture into the restaurant business. Every aspect of Tendulkar's reflects the essence of the man. From the blue and white interiors, in particular the turquoise lit columns, to the use of glass, wood and stainless steel. The mustard suede upholstered chairs are replicated from his dining room.

Sachin's input in design details such as his platinum signature on stark white crockery, brushed steel cutlery and designer uniforms have helped to achieve a minimal and subtle yet extremely striking ambience.

The first of its kind 'kids room' reflects Sachin's love for children ensuring they have as much fun as the parents while eating out.

The multi-cuisine menu comprises of Sachin's favourite dishes that he has enjoyed while
traveling all over the world. Authentic recipes have been provided by his family members, especially his mother's 'Fried Bombay Duck' his all time favourite
